Leucojum Aestivum

Related to Galanthus nivalis, circa 1594, this prized heirloom naturalizer has umbels of pendant, bell-shaped, milky-white flowers with faint green tips and grass-like, strappy foliage. Moisture tolerant, it performs well near water, but make sure to plant the bulbs above the high water mark! This valuable naturalizer thrives in areas of dappled sunlight. Rodent- and deer-proof. Bulb size: variable depending upon the variety. Bloom time: May/June. Height: 12" to 20". Plant 6" deep and 6" apart. Horticultural zones: 4-9.
